In the midst of reports that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is in a trance like state, Iran's Preeminent Chief on Sunday posted an image of himself meeting an Iranian diplomat.
Different media reports as of late guaranteed that Khamenei, 85, was in a state of extreme lethargy and that he had selected his 55-year-old child, Mojtaba Khamenei, as his replacement in a mystery meeting. The reports came after The New York Times in October said that Khamenei was "genuinely sick."
In the image posted on Khamenei's X record, he was seen conversing with Iran's Diplomat to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani in his office.
"Ayatollah Khamenei, the head of the Islamic Upset, met and chatted with Mr Mojtaba Amani, the veteran minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon, around early afternoon today, uninvolved of his day to day gatherings," he wrote in Persian.
As per reports, Tehran furtively picked its replacement in late September — with the feeble Ayatollah Ali Khamenei potentially surrendering before his demise. An Iran Global report proposes that his child Mojtaba Khamenei will accept the top job while his dad is alive.
